    How do you efficiently save student work so that other students don’t have access?

    @Marsha

    Check out Edmodo (www.edmodo.com) It’s a free course management system that allows students to turn-in work. You’d be able to provide feedback and re-send it to them. I’ve used it the past two years.

  2. Has anyone developed a list of aligned objectives/skills necessary for writing SciJourn articles? I’m looking for something like this:

    Student will be able to attribute sources correctly.
    Student will be able to bookmark a site using Diigo.
    etc.

    You could save your student work on a flash drive from the main network as a folder

    I know for sure that upon starting my Scijourn lessons the majority of my students will do a lot of complaining, huffing & puffing. Many of them complain about doing work period. How do I remain steadfast and upbeat in the midst of negativity?

  6. What are you going to do on your first day of SciJourn? How are you going to introduce it to students?

    Andrew Goodin Reply:

    An idea was mentioned in class today to have students read an issue of SciJourn and rank the articles. This would help them learn what makes a relevant & contextualized article.

  7. If you were going to facilitate a 2-week SciJourn “blitz” session, how would you structure it?
